Modular Buildings

Modular buildings are structures whose basic components are constructed at a factory and then assembled at the building site. This technique makes the construction process not only faster, but less expensive as well. Modular construction is used for many different applications.

Modular buildings are often used on military bases around the world. Because they can be transported and assembled in a quick fashion, they are ideal for military applications. Soldier barracks and mess halls are often constructed in this fashion.

Many school districts around the country use modular buildings as adjunct teaching facilities. These structures are less expensive to construct than traditional buildings, and as such can go a long way towards saving the school a great deal of money. Many modular construction companies are also beginning to incorporate “green” building technologies into their designs as well.
