Metal Buildings

There are some things to remember when looking for a company that specializes in metal buildings. Rule number one, there is no such thing as “ready to ship” when it comes to steel buildings. The differences in building codes and customer needs require that each building be made to order; and anyone who says they maintain an inventory of steel buildings is trying to steal your money.

Rule number two when it comes to purchasing metal buildings: beware of the sales person that tells you that they can make structural changes to any existing “ready to ship” design. Many times they will tell you about a “cancelled order” that can be altered to suit your needs. However, since these buildings are pre-fabricated, altering the design once it leaves the manufacturer can have adverse effects on the building’s structural integrity.

And finally, when purchasing metal buildings make sure you get everything in writing before agreeing to pay. Any invoice should have each and every component itemized. It is unfortunate, but no necessarily uncommon for a salesperson to quote you one price and have the final price be considerably higher.
